K12 Bid Terms of Service
A buyer accepts by replying "I accept", by using the free week after I've emailed you the link to these terms (it's in my reply to your "send"), or by paying.
Who I am.
K12 Bid (by Daxlyn) is a service provided by Rezan Al-Ibrahim, an individual, PO Box 5143, Glendale Heights, IL 60139 ("I", "provider"). Contact: rezan@daxlyn.com.
1. What you get.
An email on Tuesday and Friday listing the new E-Rate bid requests (Form 470) posted since the previous email that match your area and category, with short summaries of what the bid documents say. How many bids an email holds depends on what schools post. If no new bids match since the previous email, no email is sent that day. If a Tuesday or Friday is a holiday, the email may come the next business day. The pass runs from the start date on your invoice to March 31, 2027. Up to 4 email addresses at your company may receive it.
2. AI-assisted summaries: check the source.
Summaries are produced with the help of AI. I read and check every bid I send in a first email, and a share of the bids in the Tuesday and Friday emails; I can't promise that every bid is read. Each fact is quoted with its page or paragraph from the school's document, and software checks that the quote is on that page and that its dates and quantities are in the quote. Where the document doesn't say something, the summary says "not found". Summaries can be wrong or out of date, and schools can change their documents at any time. Before you spend money or submit a bid, check the dates, quantities, requirements and addenda at the source (USAC or the school). You, not I, are responsible for your bid and its deadlines.
3. Not advice.
K12 Bid isn't legal, accounting or E-Rate compliance advice. It doesn't tell you whether to bid or what your bid should say. When I quote wording from a school's document, I'm only quoting it; I don't say whether any bid or school has done anything wrong.
4. Not affiliated.
I'm independent. I'm not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for USAC, the FCC, or any school, library, district or E-Rate consultant. Names are used only to identify documents.
5. Data sources.
Public information from USAC's open data and public bid documents. The only school contact I include is the technical contact the school published on its Form 470 for bidders, as USAC lists it; I include no other school staff details. I don't guarantee that any source is complete or correct, or that it will stay available.
6. Using the emails.
They're for your company's own bidding. Don't forward, resell or publish them outside the email addresses on your account, and don't repost the schools' documents. I may stop sending if this rule is broken.
7. Price and payment.
The price is on your invoice, due on receipt. Prices exclude any sales or use tax; if tax applies, I'll tell you and add it only with notice. Monthly plans ($249) end when you cancel by email, and aren't renewed past March 31, 2027 unless you agree.
8. Refund.
Within 30 days of your payment, email me and I'll refund the fee in full. If I stop the service, or USAC stops publishing the bid data, before March 31, 2027, I'll refund the unused part of your pass pro rata.
9. No guarantee.
The service is provided "as is". I don't promise that every bid is included, that emails arrive on time, or that you'll win any bid.
10. Limit of liability.
To the extent the law allows, my total liability to you for any claim about the service is limited to the fees you paid me in the 12 months before the claim. I'm not liable for lost profits, lost bids, lost contracts or indirect damages. This doesn't limit any liability the law doesn't allow to be limited.
11. Opting out and ending.
You can stop any time by replying STOP or CANCEL. I can end the service, with a refund under section 8.
12. Privacy.
I use your name, work email and company to send the service and invoices. Payments are handled by Stripe. I don't sell your information, and I'll delete it whenever you ask.
13. Changes, transfer, law.
I may update these terms with 14 days' notice by email. I may transfer this agreement to a company I form to run K12 Bid; I'll tell you, and your rights stay the same. Illinois law applies, and claims go to the courts of DuPage County, Illinois. This page is the whole agreement.
